About Troop 306
Troop 306 is among Connecticut’s first female troops and was formed with just 9 girls, six months prior to the BSA sanctioning female troops in February, 2019. Since then, it has grown to over 20 girls ranging from ages 10 to 17, and has so far produced 4 Eagle Scouts with more on the way! Meetings are held Redding CT, and the troop consist of girls from a wide geographic area including Easton, Norwalk, Brookfield, Southbury and Trumbull. The troop meets Tuesday evenings at St. Patricks Church on Black Rock Turnpike, Redding. Troop 306 has a strong tradition of camping and outdoor activities. They camp monthly, have participated in may council events such as Klondike, Camp Sikorsky, Con Jam and West Point. Each Summer they attend Camp Sequassen where they have won several awards.
